Sandra Speidel
Sandra Speidel can't remember a time when she didn't draw pictures. As a
child, she filled the colored pages of scribble pads that her mother bought
at the grocery sotre. However, she didn't attend art school until she moved
to California in 1974. She studied illustration, drawing, and painting at
the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. She has worked as a freelance
illustrator for 15 years, working for publishers including Time Life Books
and for advertising campaigns including Celestial Seasons and the U.S. Postal
Service.
In Sandra's spare time, she is active in drama, surfs the Internet, goes
to the beach, and spends time with friends and her daughter Zoe.
