Julian Waters

Julian Waters is a designer and calligrapher living near Washington D.C.
In 1989 he succeeded Hermann Zapf in teaching annual lettering workshops
at Rochester Institute of Technology. He has been a juror for several international
exhibitions and annuals and has taught and lectured extensively on both
sides of the Atlantic. He teaches a course for graphic design students at
the Corcoran School of Art.
Julian's award winning work involves logos, posters, books and magazines.
His clients include National Geographic and the U.S. Postal Service. Apart
from doing pen and brush lettering, Julian uses the Macintosh for design
work and is a typographic advisor to Adobe systems.
Julian's work has been shown in one-man exhibitions in Norway and Iceland,
and can be found in private and corporate collections the world over.
