Jean Formo
Jean Formo, calligrapher and book artist, operates "The Calligraphy
Studio," which specializes in private and commercial lettering design,
custom-order decorated papers, handbound journals and artists' books. Her
work is part of the contemporary artists' book collection of the University
of Washington.
Captivated by the power and mystery of words, Jean has created calligraphy
on stone, fabric, wood, glass, walls and other unusual surfaces which expand
the visual power of words. Jean teaches workshops in the book arts throughout
the country.
